About Bear Sanctuary Pristina

Bear Sanctuary Pristina is a project of Four Paws, an animal welfare organization. It opened in 2014 and is the first sanctuary of its kind in Kosovo. The sanctuary provides a safe and secure home to eight rescued bears.

The bears at the sanctuary are provided with large enclosures, pools, and platforms to climb. The staff and volunteers at the sanctuary also provide the bears with enrichment activities to keep them mentally and physically active. The bears have plenty of space to roam, plenty of food, and lots of love from the staff and volunteers.

The sanctuary offers educational tours and classes for visitors. During these tours, visitors can learn more about the sanctuary and the rescued bears. They can also get up close and personal with the bears, providing them with treats and enrichment activities.

 

How To Visit Bear Sanctuary Pristina

Visiting Bear Sanctuary Pristina is a great way to get up close and personal with these rescued animals. The sanctuary offers guided tours for individuals, families, and groups. Tours are available every day from 10:00am to 6:00pm and last for about two hours.

The cost of the tour is €15 per person and includes a guided tour of the sanctuary, a visit to the bear enclosures, and a snack for the bears. The cost of the tour also goes towards the care and maintenance of the sanctuary and the rescued bears.

During your visit, you’ll also have the opportunity to purchase souvenirs from the sanctuary’s gift shop. All proceeds from the gift shop go towards the care and maintenance of the sanctuary.

If you’re looking for a way to help out at Bear Sanctuary Pristina, the sanctuary offers volunteer programs. Volunteers have the opportunity to spend time with the rescued bears and help out with the daily operations of the sanctuary.

Volunteers will be responsible for providing enrichment activities for the bears, helping out with the maintenance of the sanctuary, and helping to educate visitors about animal welfare and conservation. Volunteers must be at least 18 years old and commit to a minimum of two weeks at the sanctuary.
