Papua New Guinea (PNG) is a diverse and culturally rich island country located in the southwestern Pacific Ocean. It occupies the eastern half of the island of New Guinea, the world’s second-largest island, and includes numerous offshore islands. PNG shares a land border with Indonesia to the west and is bordered by the Coral Sea to the south and the Pacific Ocean to the north.
