About Bwabwata National Park

Bwabwata National Park was established in 2007 as part of the Kavango-Zambezi Transfrontier Conservation Area (KAZA TFCA). The park includes the Mahango Game Reserve and the Mudumu National Park, and covers an area of 11,000 square miles, making it one of the largest in Namibia.

The park is home to a range of diverse habitats, including floodplains, savannahs, woodland, and riparian forests. It is also home to a number of endangered species, including the African wild dog, cheetah, African wildcat, and sitatunga.
